Diana Blumin for Township Trustee

Diana Blumin moved to the United States from Kiev in 1992. She benefited from a hand up as she settled in the United States and this area, and she wants to ensure the same social safety net and opportunities to thrive remain into the future.

Her career has been in nursing, primarily working with elderly individuals in hospitals, medical offices, community nursing, and home health. Her experience in healthcare has given her a deep understanding of people’s needs, the ability to listen attentively, and the compassion necessary to advocate for others. One of Diana's greatest strengths is her empathy. As a nurse, she has spent years problem-solving, coordinating care, and ensuring that patients receive the support they need. These same skills—active listening, critical thinking, and advocating for others—are essential in public service. She also brings a strong background in managing resources effectively. Before becoming a nurse, she worked in various jobs, which gave her firsthand experience with budgeting and financial constraints. She understands the challenges that many residents face, and she is committed to making sure our community’s resources are used wisely to benefit everyone.
