Diane Harris is our endorsed candidate for Secretary of State.

Diane Harris is a conservative Republican, born and raised with Midwestern values as the second child of a stay-at-home mother and a professional chauffeur for over 30 years. From a young age, Diane was taught the importance of integrity, kindness, helping others but working hard for the things needed to achieve. Those values have guided her throughout my personal and religious life, public service, and professional career.

After attending Joliet Public Schools, she began a career in public service by working in Joliet City Hall's Accounting Department. She later attended Joliet Junior College, the nation’s first community college, and earned an Associate's Degree, then on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix.

She recently retired from ComEd after 32 years of dedicated service in the electric utility industry. With many years as an IBEW Steward, Diane fought for workers and pledges tp bring that same fight to Springfield. After retirement, she opened a ladies dress shop in downtown Joliet. She is also a former licensed insurance agent and a long standing notary public.

She is an appointed Trustee of the Joliet Public Library, and elected Trustee of Joliet Junior College, and elected Precinct Committeeperson, Vice Chair of the Joliet Township Republicans, former Chair of the Illinois Center Right Coalition, former Vice Chair of Will County Republican Women, and an at-large Board Member for the Historical Cathedral Area Preservation Neighborhood Association

Diane pledges to streamline processes, improve service and improve the experience of working with the Secretary of State's Office.
