GLENVIEW, Ill. -- The Northfield Township Republican Organization announced its official endorsements for the 2026 Republican Primary Election following a member endorsement session held February 7.
The endorsement meeting brought together Republican candidates, organization members, and duly appointed precinct captains for a structured forum that allowed attendees to hear directly from candidates, ask questions, and participate in the endorsement vote. In accordance with organization rules, endorsements required the support of at least sixty percent (60%) of those present and voting.
In the Governor's race, Northfield Republicans endorsed Ted Dabrowski of Wilmette and his Lt. Gov candidate Carrie Mendoza of Glencoe. Northfield Township Republicans have become very familiar with Dabrowski, a researcher and analyst for Wirepoints and Illinois Policy.
"Ted and Wirepoints have been an invaluable source of research and information," Committeeperson T.J. Brown said. "Our members know him well, trust him, and know he can tackle the mess in Springfield."
For United States Senate, the organization gave the nod to Don Tracy, the former chairman of the Illinois Republican Party. And for Secretary of State, Northfield Republicans endorsed Diane Harris of Joliet.
The organization also endorsed T.J. Brown for re-election. His opponent was invited to present at the meeting despite not being a member.
