The October meeting was well attended this month. To those who attended, thank you for joining us. To those who were unable to come, we hope you will join us November 1st. A few highlights: Bob Fioretti spoke to us about his campaign for Cook County Board President and his journey out of the Democratic Party home to the Republican Party. Kevin O'Connell, who is doing some work for Secretary of State candidate Dan Brady gave us a brief overview of what Rep. Brady will do once he becomes Secretary of State. Northbrook's Peter Christos, a 2022 GBN graduate, spoke to us about what he's doing as a Regional Director for Turning Point USA. He was joined by Jordyn Landau, who oversees the work Peter is doing. They also filled us in on an upcoming young people's conference later this year and some details on the difficulties that conservative students face in high schools. Peter told us of his personal struggles while attending high school in District 225. Details on the conference will be in a future newsletter.
