Tim Rueckert for Highway Commissioner

Timothy Rueckert is in his second term as Northfield Township Highway Commissioner. The Road District provides services in the unincorporated area of the Township, keeping approximately 23 plus miles of roads and parkways in good repair and accessible in any weather. The Road District also offers a resident recycling program that accepts household paint, electronics, light bulbs, engine oil and various other recyclable items. As Highway Commissioner, Tim also serves as the Director of Emergency Management for the Township.

Prior to being the Highway Commissioner Tim was a Special Agent/Supervisor for the Illinois Gaming Board as a sworn police officer for 27 years. Tim has volunteered his time to his community in many ways including as a trustee for the Glenbrook Fire Protection District, Vice President of Countryside Civic Association, Coach for the Glenbrook Junior Titans Football Program and American Youth Soccer Organization, Member of the Northfield Township Human Services Review Commission, and a Unit Commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America.

Commissioner Rueckert graduated from Oakton Community College (Associate's of Science in Business Administration, 1985) and Arizona State University (Bachelor's of Science in Finance, 1988).

Tim, 59, lives in Glenview with his wife, Verenice Rueckert, and their three sons (Rudy, 23; Max, 21; and Jake, 19). For the last 29 years, Tim has lived in his current home in Glenview, just two blocks from his childhood home (where his mother still resides).
